  1. Anna: “ci” is a substitute for a place, like “in casa”. For example: “Sono in casa le chiavi? Sì, ci sono.”
If you want to avoid repeating “le chiavi”, just omit that: “Sono in casa”.

  2. Could u please explain:
Will it be correct to answer to the question “Dove sono le chiavi della macchina?” (Q13)
    Not like “Sono in casa”
but “Ci sono in casa”, where ‘ci’ substitudes ‘le chiavi della macchina’.
[Or it is not the situation where ‘ci’ should be used?]

    Thank u.

  3. “della casa” is also correct, but if you’re talking about your own house, you just say “di casa”.

  4. Hi, thank you for the lesson. In #9 and #13, are “di” and “della” interchangeable? Could they be “della casa” or “di macchina”? Grazie.

  5. “in casa” is an idiomatic expression with “casa” (i.e. it’s just the way people say that). With “macchina” or other things, either “in macchina” or “nella macchina” are correct.

  6. Why is it “sono IN casa” and “sono NELLA machina”?
