Music to overcome fear

Italy is experiencing a particularly difficult period. Millions of people have accepted the new laws put in place to stem the contagion from COVID-19 and are spending most of their time indoors at home, without social contacts or any close contact with the outside world.

Undoubtedly, this has generated a lot of anxiety so, to try to bring a little relief and positivity, some good ideas have been thought up. Every evening, in every city across Italy, Balcony Music goes live. Lots of people set up speakers and microphones, others simply sing at the top of their voice, and traditional, popular, and modern music begins to resonate among the buildings.

It’s certainly a nice way to exorcise fear and soothe anxiety and worry through music.
